You have to take the bus from San Jose at the bus station called "La Coca Cola".

Times from San Jose to Mal Pais:
7:30a.m., 11:30a.m. and 3:30p.m.

The bus brings you directly to Mal Pais.
In Puntarenas however you have to leave
the bus and walk on the ferry for the trip
across the Gulf of Nicoya.

While on the ferry (ca. 1 hour) you can
enjoy the beautiful nature of the Gulf of
Nicoya. In Paquera the bus continues the
trip to "El Cruze" ( a T-intersection)
Mal Pais - Santa Teresa.

The whole trip including ferry: 6 hours

  By Private Bus :

If you arrive to Costa Rica before noon, a bus will pick you up at the airport and take you directly to Pachamama.

Estimated price: 35$/pers.

If you arrive to Costa Rica past noon, a bus will pick you up at the airport and take you to a Hotel (Pre-arranged by the same company). The next day, the bus will pick you up at the Hotel and take you directly to Pachamama.

  By Plane :

There are 4 flights a day that take out from San José and arrive to Tambor in 25 min. From Tambor you will have to take a taxi to Pachamama.
